Bareburger is a New York-based burger joint which has its branches all over the globe. They have launched their first restaurant in festival city mall and it’s pretty good. We were welcomed by the very cute and lovely Joy. The interiors are done tastefully and the service is impeccable. Joy was well informed about the menu and the legacy of Bareburger. This is an organic cafe so the prices are on the higher side. We straight away got to business and started ordering.
I ordered from their be my burger section, where you can make your own burger. I made my own with lemon grilled chicken, brioche bun, fried egg, caramelized onions, aged cheddar, buffalo sauce, relish, dill pickles. The burger was delicious but a little pricey [around AED 72]. My friend ordered for the Farmstead [AED 42] which has a sweet potato and quinoa patty with a spread of hummus all in a kale leaf. This wasn’t something that was easy to eat as we struggled to bite into the kale, taste wise was average. The 3rd burger that we tried was the Nomad [AED 52] which has camel meat, egg, pimento, habanero mayo and I felt it was a good burger.
To go along with the burgers we ordered onion rings and sweet potato fries with their signature dips – smoke sauce, habanero mayo and special sauce [AED 40] and good to share. Quite frankly the onion rings were the best and the dips complimented it so very well. The Cali-fresh salad [AED 55] was another hit with radish, kale, onions, grape tomatoes, quinoa served with hummus and a lemon vinaigrette.
They also serve some pretty amazing drinks too, we ordered the Banana Colada [AED 34] and had a twist of pineapple, this is highly recommended here. The Passionfruit Mojito [AED 28] was refreshing. Finally, we ended with one of their house special desserts the Bakla-wow, served in a cute jar this Turkish dessert gets a makeover bare burger style. The baklava is served with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream caramel sauce, and pistachios. YUM! Bare burger serves decent organic food at a relatively higher price but it is worth a visit.
