Cafe Vienna is a nice cozy cafe located in Business Bay and is perfect for a casual meal. The Cafe basically serves international comfort food with a twist. They are open for all the 3 meals of the day and I love how the menu is crafted. I headed to this cafe with a friend on a Friday afternoon and we absolutely loved what we had there. This place boasts of both indoor and outdoor seating areas.
We started off with a couple of healthy smoothies and a delicious flatbread. Tropical Green Mango [AED 24] had leafy vegetables like baby spinach and kale, a couple of fruits – mango and pineapple and to blend this all together with, some coconut water. Bombay Sunrise [AED 24] -had the goodness of carrot and orange juice with turmeric, ginger and lemon. I absolutely loved both the drinks, a perfect balance between health and taste. The operations manager Ciju insisted that we go for their Chicken Tikka flatbread and I kid you not, this was the best flatbread I have had in recent time. A thin bread was loaded with veggies and cheese, loved the juicy chicken tikka in this one. Next came in a couple of salads, the Grilled Goat Cheese [AED 36], and the Bang Bang chicken [AED 36]. Goats cheese and a balsamic dressing is always a good combination and this with some grilled veggies and garlic was absolutely great! The Bang bang chicken on the other had a very dry chicken breast but the rest of the salad was pretty good.
They have an interesting selection of mains, we ordered a Creamy basil pesto penne pasta with sundried tomatoes [AED 45] you can also throw in some chicken for an additional AED 5. The pasta was tasty and I loved the addition of sundried tomatoes to it. Chicken tikka Masala [AED 45] was served with a portion of rice and poppadum. A lighter version of the traditional tikka masala but the flavors were so good in this one.
We also ordered the Indonesian classic Nasi Goreng [AED 55]. This comes as a platter consisting of prawn crackers, chicken satay with peanut sauce and the Indonesian fried rice with a sunny side up egg. I was a little disappointed with the rice but the other components of this dish were on point.
Cafe Vienna also has a lot of yummy desserts on display. We ordered the Ferrero Rocher and Belgium Dark Chocolate cake and both were sinful. My friend finished the Ferrero Rocher in a jiffy and my Belgium dark chocolate got over in no time too. Cafe Vienna is all about great food, I’m sure you guys will love it. I would really love to try their breakfast menu, it looks pretty awesome!
