La Ville is a 5-star boutique hotel nestled in the heart of City Walk, Dubai. The property is owned by Marriott International under their Autograph collection. The Autograph collection series is a bunch of hand-picked boutique hotels by Marriott which are unique in design and true to the spirit of the city it is located in. I headed to La Villa for a bloggers meet organized by Monica Kapila from DoinDubai
Drinks at the Look up Rooftop Bar
I met all my fellow blogger here for drinks and some snacks and the place is nothing short of amazing! Located on the 5th floor of the hotel this bar has an open seating area and a pool area with stunning views of the Dubai skyline. It was a windy evening and it had heaters which looked like lampshades near each table which I loved. We had a selection of cocktails and mocktails to go with the Artisan Chips and Stuffed Jalapenos. We moved to our next destination -Chival, after a brief chit chat over drinks.
Dinner at Chival Social House
Chival is a modern and chic restaurant which serves cuisine that is healthy and which has an international appeal. The ingredients are carefully sourced from some of the best places from the region. Chival is an all day dining which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in an indoor and outdoor setting. The outdoors are lovely on a bright sunny afternoon and oozes more of a Californian styled ambiance.
Our menu was specially curated by Chef David Schaumburger and we started off with 3 gorgeous salad, Beets and Lentils, Spiced Cauliflower and Freekeh and the Tuna Tataki. I personally loved the beets and lentils, which had a lovely combination of Mediterranean spiced lentils with beetroot tahini. The Tuna Tataki had perfectly seared tuna with glass noodles and miso vinaigrette. The mains featured 3 of their signature creations- the Island Prawns which had some roasted king prawns with a Thai spiced coconut rice, garlic marinade and black bean relish. I really loved the rice in this one, complimented the other components of the dish perfectly. Agnolotti pasta was the house favorite, it was stuffed with ricotta spinach goodness with sun dried tomatoes, toasted pine but and black truffle shavings. This was so good we ended up ordering another portion. Next came the Prime Burger served with some really good steak fries and relish.
Desserts at Graze Gastro Grill
After a light and healthy dinner at Chival we moved on to Graze for some desserts. Graze is the property’s gastro grill serving a variety of modern dishes. When you enter Graze it gives you a vibe of sophistication with its tastefully done interiors. We were here for some of Chef Juan Pablo Dominges’s signature desserts. First up was a Japanese Cotton Cheesecake and it was absolutely delicious with wild berry puree and raspberry foam. Smoked Vanilla had a very distinct flavor with a fluffy cinnamon cake apple sorbet and lemon cream. Dark Chocolate Missisipi Pie stole everyone’s heart with their black pepper ice cream and caramelized pop corn at the side. Lastly, we had the Italian zabaglione which was served with glazed fruits and crumble.
The experience at the La Ville was beyond my expectation and I would really love to visit each restaurant again soon especially the Look up bar. They also have a Wine Bar named Grapeskin which we did not try out but I’m hoping to check the place out soon. The La Ville property is exquisite, the food is delicious and the vibe is electrifying, there’s hardly anything to complain about.
