Dubai’s newest hotspot Miss Wáng opened its doors just over a month back and have seen getting rave reviews since then. It’s been hyped as a mystery and not much has been disclosed. To find out what this mystery is all about I headed to Miss Wang one evening. It’s located in the majestic hotel in bur dubai which is a member of the great hotels in the world. Finding Miss Wang should not be a problem as proper direction boards are in place and a flight of stairs takes you to your destination.
Miss Wang has got a really cool Asian hipster vibe to it, the urban industrial set up instantly gets you hooked to this place. I knew I’m in for an amazing evening. The menu is very Asian drawing influences from Japan, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, etc. The cocktail menu too is design in a way to compliment the food.
We started with 3 stunning cocktails, Mango Spiced Masti, Fire Starter and Tropical Storm. All the cocktails were very different from each other and we enjoyed every sip of it.
The food was nothing short of amazing, we had the shrimp tempura, hunan styled chicken wings, chowmein salad, chicken and shiitake mushroom dumplings. Everything stood out except the tempura as it’s like any other tempura you get in other places. The wings were sticky and amazing. The dumplings had a lovely shiitake and chicken filling and went well with the sweet Chilli and soy sauce served with it. Chowmein salad was my favorite, a delicious and healthy combination of veggies, fresh fruit and dried fruit. You gotta try this!
Next came some sweet potato fries, Asian fish and chips which had the fish coated in a asahi beer batter 😍, how good does that sound!Their famous street Pad Thai, teriyaki grilled chicken with some egg fried rice on the side. I personally loved the fish and chips and the pad Thai. Miss Wáng has kept the authenticity of the various Asian cuisines in tact and still managed to give it a modern twist.
Coming to the desserts, Miss Wang has a pretty unique selection to satisfy your cravings. We obviously went for the bestsellers. Vietnamese banana cake, was all sorts of amazing with rum sauce drizzled over it. Green tea creme brûlée with matcha ice cream was good too.
Miss Wang also has a band which plays every day except Wednesday’s and they also have a karaoke room for all you karaoke fans. They have a ladies night on Sunday which offers 3 selected cocktails on the house and 50% off on selected beverages and food. Their happy hours start from 6 pm to 9 pm every day, where you get selected beverages for half the price and also can choose 3 dishes for AED 99*. Miss Wang is a winner and there are so many reasons to visit the place again. I’m definitely coming back.
