Pineapple Express is a cafe hailing from Brisbane, Australia which basically serves superfoods. Located at the newly opened Atlantis the Palm Broadwalk, this food truck offers a healthy and delicious menu. I caught up with one of their owners and head pineapple ( that’s what they call themselves ) Leigh, to know more about the concept, expansion plans and obviously to taste the food.
Pineapple Express believes in food that is fresh, organic and good for you. The menu includes acai bowls, smoothies, juices, eggs, ice cream sandwiches and pancakes. We order a couple of acai bowls and its was the best I have tasted yet. Breakfast bowl – Acai with twice baked granola is topped with fruits, coconut water and shavings and spinach. Their granola is extra crunchy and by far the best in the market. Acai nutter – A mix of their beautiful granola, organic peanut butter, raw cacao, almond milk, banana, raw choc sauce and Acai. A must try and definitely one of my favorites here. Their granola is completely organic. Leigh also tells me they plan to open a lot more stores in Dubai, the UAE, and some more international venues.
A superfood cafe is incomplete without some healthy drinks and at Pineapple Express you will be spoilt for choices. The Mean Green – spinach, celery, cucumber, green apple and mint is turned into a refreshing juice.
Acai Anti-Blast– this drink is full of antioxidant berries alongside banana and coconut water.
We also tried their newly introduced Lemon Turmeric Protein Pancakes – The pancakes are light, fluffy and gets the sweetness from the coconut chia yogurt, tartness from the berry compote, the crunch from the walnuts and the freshness of the fruits😊. A complete breakfast in itself. Pineapple Express offers excellent food with a view to die for. If you haven’t visited them you are losing on some great stuff.
